Your LASIK Consultation

On the day of your consultation, you should be prepared to spend forty five minutes to one hour in the office. If you have questions about parking or need directions to the office, visit our locations page.

At your consultation visit, we will check your current vision with and without your glasses or contacts. During the examination, we will measure the thickness of your cornea, take a topography of your eyes (map of the top surface of the eye), and check the overall health of your eyes. These tests along with an examination with Dr. Kraff will let you know if you are a candidate for refractive surgery. One of our refractive counselors will go over the procedure in detail with you and answer any questions you might have regarding the surgery. You will then have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Kraff, who will let you know if you are a candidate for laser vision correction, and answer any additional questions you may have.

After you have met with Dr. Kraff, we will talk to you about the costs for the procedure, discuss financing options, and review the surgery schedule for your procedure. We will work with you to find a time that works best with your schedule.

If you would like more information or would like to schedule a complimentary LASIK consultation, please fill out the form on the right or call (312) 265-3400.
